Role Purpose:The function of this HR Manager role is to shape the performance and development systems for all employees, designing and supporting the company talent frameworks including performance management, succession planning and workforce/human resource planning whilst guiding and managing Human Resources services across business units.  The HR Manager will lead all HR’s practices and objectives that will provide an employee-oriented high-performance culture emphasising quality, productivity, goal attainment and empowerment and is responsible for the development of processes and reporting metrics that support the achievement of the Company’s business goals as well as acting as talent expert across the Company.   Managing a small team and working closely with colleagues to ensure all HR duties are undertaken in accordance with employment law, and company policy and ensuring any risk to the business is minimised.   

Key Aspects of the role:

  • HR Manager will manage a small HR team to make sure HR team provides day-to-day HR service in line with high-performance culture and will be responsible for the overall management and development of all aspects of HR and Talent Management across business units, taking a truly hands-on approach around employee cycle, focusing on:
    • Recruitment and Selection 
    • Compensation and Benefits  
    • Talent Management 
    • Employee Relations 
    • Learning and Development 
  • Have business awareness to allow for the effective support of the business units. 
  • Provide HR policy guidance and interpretation. 
  • Draft and implement new/review existing policies, procedures, templates and guides for all business areas.
  • Work with Finance closely to make sure payroll data are provided monthly. 
  • Enable to provide meaning HR data for various reports. 
  • Work closely with managers to coach and develop capability to enable them to effectively manage future ER cases, whilst enhancing their knowledge on all areas of HR Policy, procedure and practice. 
  • Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues. Conduct effective, thorough and objective investigations.  
  • Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. 
  • Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to people management and ensure compliance with the annual performance management cycle. 
  • Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, ensure engagement, and increase productivity and retention.

  • Excellent MS Office skills.

 Other Features of job:

  • Eligible to work in the UK.
  • This role is based at our Head Office at Birmingham Business Park, 0900 to 1700, including 30-minute paid break 5 days a week. 
  • Travel occasionally.
