Role PurposeAn exciting opportunity for an HR Advisor to work for a rapidly expanding company. You will be working in a high-change and fast-paced environment and will provide vital HR operations support to the HR team across the full employee life cycle. You will work closely with management, driving operational excellence through the effective execution of HR processes and programs. You will work across multiple sites, coaching managers, driving initiatives, implementing HR programmes, driving strategy and fostering an environment for business & employee growth.   There is an opportunity for potential progression within the company as well as offering competitive salary and benefits.

Key Aspects of the role

  • Providing HR operations services to managers and employees on employee life cycle across multiple business sites
  • Managing recruitment, advising managers on recruitment and selection and implementing HR programs across the group ensuring alignment to Talent Acquisition, Talent Management and Reward, integrating into employee engagement & culture, succession planning, diversity & inclusion, and leadership development
  • Responsible for onboarding, all changes to terms and conditions, internal transfers, and leavers management
  • Managing staff absence and working closely with EHS Advisor to provide reasonable adjustment
  • Working closely with Finance Department to support payroll monthly and implement the reward program
  • Providing HR Analyse insights from data, using trend and metric information to define root cause and design solutions to drive improvement, and providing relevant HR reports when required
  • Responsible for interpreting, and implementing company policies ensuring legal compliance with the latest legislation
  • Supporting employee relations ensuring preventative measures are implemented and supporting various investigations, including grievance and disciplinary, and managing staff relationships, responding to any queries or problems that they have and managing their expectations
  • Dealing with various HR queries throughout the business and acting as the point of contact for managers and employees
  • Supporting and monitoring GDPR compliance
  • Supporting and monitoring IR35 compliance
  • Supporting /Covering other HR functions when needed
  • Supporting ad hoc projects when required

Required Qualifications, Functional Experience & Skills

  • Hold a relevant HR degree and CIPD qualification
  • Previous experience working in the Automotive and Engineering industry is essential
  • Previous experience working in payroll is essential
  • Previous experience working on GDPR and IR35
  • Experience international HR experience is essential
  • Knowledge of UK employment law
  • Previous experience working in all HR functions around an employee cycle is essential.
  • Previous experience working as an HR Generalist or similar is essential
  • involvement in key areas such as succession planning, employment relations, change management, stakeholder management
  • Strong networking, coaching, and influencing skills with the ability to form successful working relationships at all levels
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple functions simultaneously
  • Proficient IT knowledge including the use of HR systems
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent analytical skills and proactive in solving problems
  • The ability to be able to give first-line HR response to colleagues enquires
  • Previous experience in a fast-paced HR environment would be preferred

  • Eligible to work in the UK
  • This role is based at our Head Office at Birmingham Business Park, 0900 to 1700, including a 30-minute paid break 5 days a week.
