Sprint Power appoints new Commercial Director to drive further growth
Sprint Power has announced the appointment of Ben Russell as its new Commercial Director. Reporting directly to Sprint Power CEO Richie Frost, Ben will play a major role in setting and delivery of the strategic direction for the business, while leading the commercial development and directing the company’s marketing operations.
Ben is an experienced commercial leader, with a strong technical background and brings with him over 13 years of commercial leadership experience. Starting his career in engineering at Ricardo, he has overseen the commercial development of multiple businesses including Prodrive and bp. His diverse career has ranged from technical consulting and leadership of small start-ups through to leading large cross functional teams in the delivery of multi-million pound programmes. Ben has a track record of delivering significant business transformation, specialising in taking an engineering approach to the commercial world, to deliver long term sustainable results.

Sprint Power specialises in the innovation of electric propulsion and offers strategic and technical services to partners. Based in a brand-new dedicated facility in the Midlands, its team has grown to include over 60 highly-skilled engineers – including one of the largest groups of electrification and electrical integration experts within the UK. Its capabilities include alternative powertrain development, motor and inverter development and manufacture and the integration of power electronics and electronic management systems.
